End of the curse and a place in the semifinals in Gran Canaria (94-102)
G2 QF PlayOff Liga Endesa
Thanks to a great overtime, Valencia Basket secured their place in the Endesa League semifinals by defeating Dreamland Gran Canaria on their home court, something they hadn't achieved since the 2017-18 season. Jean Montero led the attack in a match that allows the orange team to look ahead to the next phase, where they will face La Laguna Tenerife in a series that begins this Tuesday the 10th at 9:15 p.m. at the Fonteta.
The orange team trailed from the start after a first quarter in which the Canary Islands team dominated the rebound and found the three-point shooting that the Valencian team lacked. Improving under the hoops and driven by Montero's points, they narrowed their gap until they were down three at halftime and took the lead in the third quarter. Shurna's three-pointers and a late third-quarter run by the home team put them back in front. Valencia Basket recovered from a nine-point deficit in the final quarter and took the lead in the final minute, but Albicy tied the game and the match went into overtime.
